Why AKO

Created by Māori, for Māori creators

  • Culturally grounded

Teach in ways that reflect who you are and where you come from. Tikanga and reo review come with every course, never as an extra.

  • You keep ownership

Your intellectual property stays with you. That is what AKO is built on.

  • Nothing to pay to teach

A creator who only teaches pays no monthly fee. AKO's share comes from your sales, 90/10 in your favour by default, and your agreement is always open in your studio.

  • On any device, anywhere

Learners reach your courses on a phone, tablet or computer, from the marae to the city, from Aotearoa to London.

  • Plan for your legacy

Your agreement names who looks after your mahi if you are no longer here, so your knowledge keeps serving your whānau.

  • A whānau, not a faceless platform

Join a network of Māori creators, with real people at AKO behind you.
